Name: Knitting (Children, 3 different skill levels)
Date: June 29, 2017
Time: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
Description for Basic Level 1: This is a beginner’s class for children with little or no knitting experience. In this class, you will learn the enjoyable fundamentals of knitting. We will begin with the proper Knitting terminology of knitting and quickly go into finger knitting. This is a method to get children you used to the art before you have the needed skills to handle the knitting needles or the patience to fix stiches that will come apart or slip. You will have the enjoyment of looping the yarn around your fingers to create a loose weave. These loose weaves will be the start of future scarves or other great knitting projects. Description for Basic Level 2: This teens and adults knitting class will continue from the Beginning knitting class level 1, and progress into a more complicated project. Yes, before you ask, you will get to use your NEW knitting needles to begin knitting, casting on and the knit stitch. Description for Intermediate Level 3: This children’s knitting class will continue from the Beginning knitting class level 2 and progress into a more complicated project. This children’s class will continue your child’s appreciation for the art of knitting and further enhance their newly found enjoyment and talents. Children will get to use their knitting needles to continue knitting.
