This course will expose trainees to unique environmental and trade specific challenges of welding food grade stainless steel. Trainees will have the chance to become AWS-qualified stainless steel purge welders. Trainees will learn the safety standards in shop and field welding. Using the gas tungsten Arc welding process, trainees will learn how to produce industry level welds. This training will also demonstrate how to create an industry skill level purge welding stainless steel tubing. It is important to understand the food industry welding standards, which the trainer will explain and identify. Trainees will learn how to recognize and explain the differences in various steel alloys, such as stainless steel, as well as their applications.
