Description for Basic Level 1: This class is suggested for people with little or no sewing experience. In this class, you will learn the enjoyable fundamentals of sewing. You will learn all the basics to get you started with any sewing project. We will begin with the proper use of the sewing machine, threading, safety, proper posture, stitch drills, and how to make 3 different seams. You will start with our simple projects, and then move into more complicated ones. Description for Basic Level 2: This level 2 sewing class will continue from the level 1 class and progress into the more complicated projects. In this class, you will learn more enjoyable fundamentalsof sewing. You will learn additional specialized techniques used by top European and domestic designers. You will learn how to correctly use a thimble and needle. Next you will begin your first of 3 hand stitches on your stitch pad: Overcast, Baste and the halfback stitches. After finishing the stitch pad, you will begin your first pocket, the Watch pocket. Afterward you will begin working on the second pocket, the Quarter Top, until completion. These 2 pockets that you will be making are used in the construction on skirts, pants and coats. Description for Intermediate Level 3: This sewing class will continue from level 2 sewing class and progress into a more complicated project. In this class, you will learn how to read the pattern booklet, mark, cut out the fabric, pin and sew together your PJ pants. You will learn additional specialized techniques in construction used by top European and domestic designers.
