SUMMARY

 

The purpose of this position is to effectively perform all of the duties associated with being the Site Coordinator for the Employment Connection Visalia in accordance with rules, regulations, and guidelines/directives under D.O.L. WIOA, State of California, and Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Develops and coordinates program implementation plans, working with the Department Director to establish objectives, staffing needs and training, operational procedures;

Plans and coordinates Employment Connection System events to promote program goals and maximize benefits to customers, partners, businesses and the community at large; works closely with stakeholders and partners to develop programs, secure resources and ensure specific program goals are met;

Carries out research needed for program planning and decision making;

Plans, develops and implements work schedules to ensure all planned benchmarks are being accomplished as scheduled;

Promotes and facilitates coordination and collaboration among organizations who maybe used as resources, forming effective networks;

Completes necessary reports regarding program progress to assigned leadership and funding sources;

Assists in the tracking and management of the program budget including operating expenses;

Maintains positive relationships with all partners, CSET Leadership, staff and community;

Trains staff on changes in policies and procedures and provides updated information;

Assists in the development of training manuals;

Creates effective communications systems to support programs;

Develops and implements comprehensive outreach and marketing plans that convey CSET’s mission to the public and elicits recognition and support; remains updated on trends, program requirements and regulations affecting participants within the program;

Oversees the facilitation of meetings and workshops;

Provides information, resources and assistance to assigned staff;

Assists in the evaluation of staff performance;Models positive behavior and attitudes characteristic of self-reliant people;

Performs other duties as required.

Ability to communicate effectively with staff, funding sources, partners, and other agencies and organizations;

Ability to assist in preparation of statistical and narrative reports;

Ability to maintain high competency with computer skills;

Knowledge of community action programs;

Skill in group facilitation and training;

Skill in community organizing and leadership development;

Excellent writing skills and ability to write in collaboration with staff and/or other organization.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, reports, and procedure manuals;

Ability to write reports and correspondence;

Ability to speak effectively before groups, employees, and the community;

Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, funding sources, clients, customers, and the general public;

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

 

Ability to calculate figures for budget purposes;

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variable in standardized situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form;

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

 

California Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance.
