About Us

With more than 3,500 employees and 640 physicians, Valley Children’s Healthcare is anchored by a 330-bed stand-alone children’s hospital in Madera plus three neonatal units (28 beds in total) located across Central California.  In addition, Valley Children’s network includes specialty care centers and pediatric primary care practices located strategically throughout the region, including Akers Specialty Care Center in Visalia, to best meet the needs of the more than 1.3 million children who live in our service area.
