About Us

Since 1981, Visalia Rescue Mission has been at the heart of encountering the community in Tulare and Kings counties who are struggling. We exist to confront the life-controlling circumstances of homelessness and addiction with Christ-centered services, programs, and resource counseling to build hopeful futures. With facilities to offer shelter for men, women, and children in need of a bed, a community kitchen to feed those desiring a warm meal, case management to help the community with applicable resources to help them get back on their feet, and a year-long drug and alcohol Life Change Recovery Program, Visalia Rescue Mission is here to serve the community in whatever way we can. As the largest, privately funded, non-profit in the Tulare and Kings Counties, we are grateful for our faithful donors and supporters who continue to stand behind the work being done here at the mission.
